Thelma O’Neill

Thelma K. O’Neill, age 95, of Logan, Iowa was called to her eternal home on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Rose Vista Care Center in Woodbine, Iowa. Thelma was born July 29, 1923 in Persia to Ferdinand and Anna (Sander) Foje. She attended rural school and graduated from the Logan High School in 1940. Thelma married Harold D. O’Neill, on August 27, 1943. They were blessed with four children. After living for over fifty years on the farm they moved to Logan before settling in Council Bluffs for four years. Thelma then moved to Woodbine in 2017. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Logan. She also was a long-time member of the OBJ Club and several card groups. In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband; Harold, daughter; Jan Elaine O’Neill; sister; Dorothy Darrington; and two half-brothers; Alvin Foje an Ardo Koenig. Survivors include sons: Paul (Patsy) of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Rick (Patti) of Logan, Iowa; Randy (Wanda) of Carroll, Iowa; seven grandsons: five -step-grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren: seventeen step great-grandchildren: two great-great grandsons; along with nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2019 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Logan, Iowa.
