Robert Wayne Dayhuff, age 70, of Logan, Iowa passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley. Robert was born May 25, 1944 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Robert C. and Evelyn (Gardener) Dayhuff. Robert graduated from the Logan High School in 1962. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Robert employed at Perfection Learning for twenty five years as a maintenance mechanic, retiring in 2009. He was a twenty six year member of the Logan Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department where he had served as treasurer. Robert enjoyed riding his motorcycle, cars, especially loud and fast cars. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Evelyn. Survivors include his daughters: Karie Waters of Logan, Iowa; Kellie Barnett and husband Ryan of Kansas City, Missouri; son: Kevin Dayhuff and wife Jennifer of Plainfield, Illinois; grandchildren: Linden Barnett, Morgan Waters, Lauren Barnett, McKenna Dayhuff, Drew Dayhuff, Rowdy Waters, Luke Barnett; brother: Richard Dayhuff and wife Carol of Berthoud,Colorado. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Logan Memorial Chapel in Logan, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the Logan Fire and Rescue Dept. Military honors will be conducted by the VFW Post 6256 and OHara Seeley Post. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the Logan Community Center following the committal service.
