LaVelle Gerratt

LaVelle Gerratt age 92 formerly of Logan, Iowa residing at Maple Crest Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018. LaVelle was born February 7, 1926 in Turin, Iowa to Jonas and Edith (Bartholmew) Jackson. LaVelle and LaVerne (Bud) Gerratt were married February 20, 1949. They farmed for 28 years in the Woodbine, Iowa area before retiring and moving to Logan, Iowa in November 1977. LaVerne passed away September 3, 1981. LaVelle taught in rural schools a few years before marrying. She was a member of the Logan Christian Church. She enjoyed cooking and going for walks.

LaVelle is preceded in death by: her husband LaVerne and parents.

Survivors included her 3 daughters: LaReta Larison and husband Rusty, LaRae Loyd, LaVerne Ann Trevino and husband Alex and their families consisting of 8 granchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Logan Memorial Chapel in Logan, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers family would like memorials made out to the Logan Christian Church.
