Kevin Eugene Sears, age 52, of Avoca, Iowa passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 in Avoca. Kevin was born October 25, 1966 in Missouri Valley, Iowa to James and Shirley (Daigh) Sears. He graduated from the Logan High School. After graduated he served in the Marine Corp. Kevin was married to Miranda Frieze, October 28, 2017. Kevin was a diesel mechanic and was employed with Wing’s Repair of Avoca. Kevin enjoyed working on cars, loved animals and was very artistic and enjoyed drawing and doing tattoos. Kevin was preceded in death by his father James and brother Stacey. Survivors include his wife: Miranda Sears; mother: Shirley Sears; children: Nicholas Sears, Shayne Sears; Derek Sears and wife Emily; James Sears and wife April; Michaela Gellerman; brother: Shawn Sears; sister-in-law: Connie Sears; twelve grandchildren, step children: Madeline Opal, Macklin Frieze Thomas, other relatives and friends. Visitation with the family will be held from noon until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Logan Memorial Chapel in Logan, Iowa. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the Logan Community Center following the service. Military Honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday with the VFW Post 6256 and O’Hara Seeley Post conducting the honors. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
