JoAnne E. Barber, age 72, of Magnolia, Iowa passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the Longview Care Center in Missouri Valley, Iowa. JoAnne was born October 20, 1946 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Joseph and Lydia (Rejda) Raus. She was married to Bernard “Bernie” Barber, February 7, 1964 in Blair, Nebraska. JoAnne worked various jobs including the orchards, bartender, cook, waitress and the antique mall in Logan. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, dancing, cooking and collecting and selling antiques.
JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Reynold and Leonard.
Survivors include her husband: Bernie of Magnolia, Iowa; sons: Gene Barber and wife Cathy of Magnolia, Iowa; Shaun Barber and significant other Marie Giramonti of Crescent, Iowa; grandsons: Trent and Tyler Barber; great-grandson: Hunter Barber; special friends Samantha and Aaron Beireis, Rhonda and Sawyer Kohl; many nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2019 with visitation until 8:00 p.m. at the Logan Memorial Chapel in Logan, Iowa.
The family invites everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the church following the committal service at the cemetery.

JoAnne was a wonderful, caring person! Spent some memorable times with this lady at A Bow K Florals making many people in the area smile with our flowers! She was a delight to know and she will be missed so much! RIP my friend! My thoughts and prayers go to Bernie, Gene and Cathy and Shaun during this difficult time
I was so sorry, to read of JoAnne’s passing in the local paper this week. I always enjoyed talking with her,,as she was always very upbeat and fun to be around.
