Fredrick Albert “Fred” Archer, age 88, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He hasn’t been able to walk since September 2016 after a fall, breaking his back and then in January, he fell and broke his left hip. Fred was born on February 3, 1930 in Emerson, Iowa to Willie and Elsie (Lang) Archer. Fred was a part of a large family, with 8 brothers and 9 sisters. One brother died, and one sister died in infancy. Fred was baptized in the Christian Church. His talent involved lawn mowers for 50 years. Before that he worked in maintenance.
He married Lois Louise (Wilson) Archer on December 20, 1950. They had two daughters Jacqueline (Jacquie) Louise and Lorraine Annette. They lost Lois in 2000 to cancer.
Fred married Mary Lou (Terry) Archer in February 2010. They lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Fred was preceded in death by his infant brother Kelbert (1926), infant sister Wilma (1934), his father Willie (1976), mother Elsie (1988), brothers: Cecil (1991), Clarence (2002), Francis (2010), James (2013), Adrian (2018) sisters: Creola (2009), Marjorie (2012) Erma (2015), Darlene (2015).
He is survived by his daughter Lorraine (Keith) Narmi and three grandchildren, and many great grandchildren, his wife Mary Lou, brothers Kenny (Norma) Archer and Dean Archer, sisters Evelyn (Marc) Weigelt, Ocle Sadler, Faye (Al) Selk, and Wanda (Don) Kuhlman.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Logan Memorial Chapel in Logan, Iowa.
The family would like to invite everyone to a time of a lunch and fellowship at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Christian Church in Logan, Iowa.

My husband, Ken and I are so sorry to hear about the death of Fred. May the family continue to talk about the memories of his life. The past has gone and God has him in eternal happiness of heaven. Walk strong and know that God is holding you tight and guiding you along the path of sorrow
