Francis Frank Gregory Miller age 83, of Logan, Iowa passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014 at Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine, Iowa. Francis was born August 5, 1931 to Frank and Mary (Jungensmier) Miller just 3 miles west of Panama, Iowa. At the age of 3 they moved 3 miles south-west which has now become to be known as the Miller Place. Where he farmed with his father until September 11, 1952. Francis then joined the US Army and spent 14 months in Korea, returning in October 1954. Francis continued to farm and worked for packing plants, Farmland and FS. Francis married Deloris Shriver October 16, 1954. Francis was preceded in death by parents Frank and Mary Miller, wife Deloris, son Wayne, sister; Dorothy Miller, and grandchild Dustin Jones. Survivors include his children; Eugene Miller of Missouri Valley, Iowa; Susan Flannery and husband Tom of Hinton, Iowa; Vicky Jones and husband Lonnie of Missouri Valley, Iowa; Nancy Baker and husband David of Logan, Iowa, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, sisters; Helen Monahan of Woodbine, Iowa, Marie Monahan of Harlan, Iowa, Margaret Patton of Omaha, Nebraska, brother; Ed Miller and wife Helen of Portsmouth, Iowa; Theresa and Merle Kenkel of Missouri Valley, Iowa. A Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m. Thursday with family visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. at the Logan Memorial Chapel in Logan, Iowa. Family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the church following the committal service. Military Honors will be conducted by the VFW Post 6256 and OHara Seeley Post.
