Donald L. Raborn age, 63 of Platte Center, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Tabitha Building in Lincoln, Nebraska. Donald was born February 10, 1952 to Henry Francis and Garvis Nell (McDonald) Raborn in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Jessie Jones High School in Houston and went on to serve in the United States Air Force for ten years, he also served in Germany for two years. He was employed with the Department of Defense for nine years. Donald married Candace Hatcher December 8, 1979 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and reading. In High School he was involved in swim team, track and chess. Donald enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife: Candace Raborn of Platte Center, Nebraska, children: Lauren Kay Alonso of Maryville, Missouri, April Daun Stoltman of Burr Oak, Kansas, Meagan Elizabeth Raborn of Red Oak, Iowa James Wesley Samuel Raborn of Oakland, Iowa, Jonathan Michael Lawrence Raborn of Omaha, Nebraska, Kaytelen Nell Raborn of Platte Center, Nebraska, Sarah Corene Pearl Raborn of Platte Center, Nebraska, Erin Rose Raborn of Platte Center, Nebraska, eight grandchildren, father and mother: Henry Francis and Garvis Nell Raborn, siblings: Ronald Gregory Raborn, Karen Frances Raborn, Theresa Jean Pinder, Stephan Howard Raborn, Alison Louise Raborn, mother in law: Helen Maxine Hatcher of Logan, Iowa Donald was preceded in death by his father in law: Bill Hatcher, brother in law: Dan Cleaver. Is this the same Don who was stationed in AZ in the early 1970s. If so, he was my first supervisor in the Air Force.
