Avis Marie Dickinson, age 78, of Logan, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Rose Vista in Woodbine, Iowa. Avis Marie was born on August 6, 1939 to Charles and Lulu (Williams) Hodges in Logan, Iowa. She married Harold Dickinson in 1958 in Logan, Iowa. Avis Marie lived most of her married life in Logan. Avis Marie loved her family and enjoyed gardening, flowers, baking, cooking, her dog and animals. Harold passed away on April 13, 2015.
Avis Marie is preceded in death by her parents. husband Harold Dickinson, sisters; Shirley at birth, Pauline, Jean Griffith, Joann Bobenmoyer, brothers; Leo, Ernie, and Clint.
Avis Marie is survived by her children; Rickey Dickinson of Logan, Iowa, Debra Beeson and husband John of San Diego, California, Stephanie Dickinson of Logan, Iowa, Cynthia Morton and husband Robert of Logan, Iowa, Grandchildren: Bobby Morton and wife Katie, Ryan Chase and wife Lezlie, Jeremiah Morton and wife Kara, Jason Beeson, Nathaniel Morton and wife Taylor, Laura, and Benjamin, Great Grandchildren: Sydney, Skyler, Vivian, Everett, Noah, Felix, and Parker. Sisters; Elaine Thompson and Doris Ramsey, brother in laws; Charles Griffith, and Jim Bobenmoyer with sister in laws: Ardis Hodges and Sandra Dickinson.
Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday October 28th at the Christian Church in Logan, Iowa.
Memorial service will follow at 11:00 am at the Christian Church.
After the service the family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship immediately following.
It is the family’s desire that any Memorials please be directed to Mosaic.
