Alvin (Swede) Ray Frain, age 75, peacefully passed away June 27th, 2022 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha.

All who knew Swede knew what an incredible gift he was to his family and friends. Such a sweet, caring, patient, loving, generous and simple soul. He enjoyed spending time with his family, sitting on an upside down bucket fishing out at a friend’s farm, mushroom hunting, holding the newest grand/great grandchild, watching old westerns and cruising around in his pickup. What a gift he was to us.

Swede was preceded in death by his beloved wife Linda, parents LaVaughn Wesley Frain , Anne Mae Stifle, siblings Danny Frain, David Frain, Allen Frain, daughter Terri McHugh, granddaughter Stacy McHugh, grandson Troy McHugh, and great grandson Judah McHugh.

He is survived by his children Tim McHugh (Jan), Tina Moyer (Walter), Troy McHugh (Tammy), Toby McHugh, and Patrick Frain (Regina) along with his siblings Aletha Vaune White, Charlie White and Dianna Mae White. Swede is also survived by his niece Staci Johnson (Larry, children Aj and Brady Frain), grandchildren Myrddin, Gwendolyn, Garet, Tera, Jamie, Carolyn, Brett, Seth, Nicholas, Spencer, Gabrielle, BobbiJo, Tori, Sebastian, Molly, Sofia, Natalie Radloff and family friends Denise and Dawn. Along with many more great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday July 1st  6pm to 8pm at Logan Memorial Chapel.

The family would like to invite everyone to a time of sharing starting at 6:30 pm.

Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday July 2nd 11am at Logan Christian Church. Luncheon to follow.

What a wonderful man that Swede was! I am so glad I got to be teased by him on Sunday while at Logan Superfoods! He will be missed by many, many family and friends but he is now back with Linda. Bet there will be some silliness happening there! Heart Hugs to all.

He was a wonderful person. He and Linda stood up for us 34 years ago. He was always such a person that always stopped and would talk to you.

    Frain/McHugh Family,
Uncle Swede and Aunt Linda have been in my life since a little girl playing having sleepovers hanging out with my first cousins as kids. No matter the circumstances I always felt welcomed into their home, a place of gathering laughter sorrow playing celebration ect. I will miss Uncle Swedes jokes, harassing in fun way and his smile! I missed him on Fridays Trash Day when he retired from that job and always enjoyed bumping into him on the street or in the stores. Rest In Paradise Uncle Swede 🙏 💙 ❤️

Swede was such a great guy. Glen loved going to a music festival with him or to Burger King just to chat.;Wish we could be with the family during this time. Please know you will all be in our thoughts and prayers.
