Alinda Denece Angstrom Lager, 67, was born to LuVerne and Maralyn (Beal) Angstrom. She graduated from Stratford High School in 1972 and the Americana Academy of Beauty in 1973. On June 7, 1980 she married Robert Milton Lager. Their children are: Michelle Lager Christianson (Mike, Sgt. Bluff), Blake Lager(girlfriend Danielle Wafful, Urbandale) and Kirk (Tara, Fort Dodge). Their grandchildren are Michelle and Mike’s son Eric Christianson & Kirk and Tara’s kids Adriana & Evan Lager. Alinda’s working career included working in many different beauty shops in Boone and being the “lunch lady,” in the Logan‐Magnolia school district. She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Owen Beal Angstrom in October 2020. Surviving siblings are Carol Angstrom (Owen, Stratford), Stonna and Paul Nicholas (New Jersey), Craig and Pat Angstrom (Stratford), Janell and Dennis Garvey (Ankeny), Ivan and Cindy Angstrom (Webster City), Kevin Angstrom (Boone). Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, (too many to count).
Alinda loved: her husband and family (especially her grand children), her siblings, in-laws and friends, Lake Okoboji, talking on the phone, traveling and eating out “somewhere new” with Bob, her honorary title as the “voice of America”, bestowed on her by Owen, the color purple (special emphasis on her hair and nails), trains, her July 4th parade and party with Bob’s family, Pizza King, kitchen gadgets, cooking and baking for others, shopping and lunch with her sisters-in law, her class of ‘72 girlfriends, Christmas, donating backpacks, hats and mittens, lunch money etc. for her kids in the Logan/Magnolia school district and life itself. How can anyone forget someone who was so easy to remember.
Services will be held in Logan and in Boone, considering she had so many friends and family in each city. She would be totally amazed at this fact.
Instead of flowers in the winter, please consider a donation to the Logan/Magnolia School District in Alinda’s honor to fund these projects that she and Bob considered so essential and meaningful to the teachers and kids. Mailing address is: Logan/Magnolia School District, 1200 North 2nd Avenue, Logan IA 51546.

Bob and Family,
All I can say is Alinda was the best! Loved our Daily chats in the Elementary Lunch room. After she retired was great to see her around town!
My thoughts and Prayers,

Bob and family –
So sorry for your loss. Alinda was such a wonderful person.
So Sorry for your loss. She was a great lady and she will be missed. My heart goes out to Robert and his family at this time of sorrow. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Bob, so deeply saddened at your loss, prayers for you and the family. I only got to meet her once when we still lived in Boone, and she left a lasting impression.
