Adrian Houston Archer age 89, of Logan, Iowa, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at his home. Adrian was born June 22, 1928 at home in Treynor, Iowa to William and Elsie (Lang) Archer and passed away at the Archer Family Farm near Logan, Iowa from health complications on Sunday, February 18, 2018. Adrian graduated the eighth grade and later received his GED. He married Dorothy Marie Sears on September 10, 1950 at the Logan Christian church parsonage by Everette Epperson. He accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized by Bob Evans in 1971. They made their home at the Archer Family Farm near Logan and later farmed near Percival, Thurman, and Emerson, Iowa. In between farming he was employed by Blue Star in Council Bluffs, Iowa making pie dough also drove a road grader for Caterpillar using his talent to later make the first terraces in Harrison County. He retired from farming the family farm but still was a hard worker for G&G Manufacturing in Omaha, Nebraska for a number of years and finally accepted full retirement in 2002. Three children were born to the union, Barbara Jean, Beverly Ann and Jerry Lee.
Adrian is preceded in death by his parents, infants brother and sister, brothers Clarence, James, Francis and Cecil, sisters Creola, Erma, Darlene, and Marjorie and great grandchild Julie Marie Leonard.
He is survived by Dorothy his wife of 67 years, their children, Barbara and husband Marvin Leonard of Logan, Iowa, Beverly and husband Ron Boss of Branson, Missouri, Jerry living with them on the family farm, grandchildren: Tina and husband Marc Gebhard missionaries to Africa, Twins Jon Leonard of Lincoln, Nebraska and Kelly Leonard and wife Denise of Fremont, Nebraska, Tonya and Jonnathan Beck of Harlan, Iowa, great grandchildren: Tim, David, Sarah and Grace Gebhard and Matthew Leonard, brothers: Fred and wife Mary Lou, Kenny and wife Norma, Dean and wife Pat, sisters: Evelyn and husband Mark Weigelt, Ocle Sadler, Faye and husband Al Selk, Wanda and husband Don Kuhlman.
The family would like to invite everyone to a time of refreshments and fellowship at the Christian Church after today’s service.

Uncle Adrian was such a kind man. He will be greatly missed. All my prayers and love go to Aunt Dorothy, Bev, Barbara and Jerry. May he walk joyfully with Jesus for eternity.
